
Stop the press!! Just when you thought that the Spanish fashion giant ZARA could not get any better, they go and launch a beauty brand! Yes, you heard me! ZARA beauty is the latest addition to the ZARA empire and it is about to rock your world.
ZARA Beauty Has Launched
Rumours have been flying about this highly anticipated launch for a long time. However, after months of waiting for the ZARA beauty line, it is even better than expected. Inditex has enlisted the expertise of two powerhouses in the world of beauty to aid with this launch, Fabien Baron and Diane Kendal. The face behind it all is Diane Kendal, a world-famous make-up artist and London College of Fashion graduate. Kendal has worked on international fashion campaigns for designers such as Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs. But, instead of applying make-up, Kendal has designed a complete range of products. Each one has been formulated to hit that sweet spot between luxury and usability. The affordable pricing of ZARA beauty is also a plus, ranging from 10,95€-17,95€ (£9.99 to £17.99) making it easier than ever to achieve editorial style looks at home.

ZARA Moves Towards A Sustainable Future
Upon hearing the news of the ZARA beauty launch, my first impressions were that it would be another fast-fashion venture with equally throwaway quality. But, this is far from reality. The sleek and minimal packaging was designed by renowned creative director, Fabien Baron who created the concept of clean, refillable and consciously crafted products. Each product comes in a white, understated case and the refills are sold alongside the full-sized product. Gone are the days when all the neutral tones in the eyeshadow palette run out before their shimmery counterparts. Baron has created a pick ‘n’ mix format to ensure minimal waste is generated. In addition to this, the ZARA beauty collection is also ‘clean’ and free of animal testing. As a result, Baron has supercharged ZARA’s green credentials.
The Verdict
On discovering the ZARA beauty launch, my first impression is WOW! The colours manage to be classic and wearable while remaining on-trend. The packaging gives power to the product and does nothing to detract from the quality of the formulas created. And, most importantly the range offered is vast! Bronzers come in four shades and the set of three cheek palettes come in three shades. For the eyes, there are four palettes available each with six options. There are 14 lip shades available, a tinted lip balm and this is before counting the rainbow of nail varnishes available. In short, ZARA has come up trumps with the ZARA beauty line. Just as they have been filling our wardrobes with fashionable staples, they will now be filling our make-up bags too! It appears there is nothing ZARA cannot do.
